Press record. Keep every take.

TapeBooth records your tab, a window or your whole screen, with your webcam and your voice. Then you trim it, cut out the slip-ups, blur what's private and save it as MP4 or GIF. Free, with no watermark and no time limit.

Record

  • Tab, window or screen or camera only

Record one browser tab, any window, your entire screen, or just yourself talking to the camera.

  • Your voice and the sound mic + audio

Your microphone, mixed with the tab's sound or your computer's sound, with a live level meter.

  • A webcam bubble 3 shapes, 3 sizes

Circle, rounded or square, mirrored if you like. It sits in a corner of your recording, or floats over your screen.

  • Draw on the page tab mode

Pen, highlighter, arrow and rectangle in five colours, with optional rings around your clicks so viewers can follow.

  • Countdown, pause, shortcuts Alt+Shift+R

A 3, 5 or 10 second countdown, pause and resume, and keyboard shortcuts you can change.

Edit and export

  • Trim the ends start and end

Drop the first seconds of setup and the reach for the stop button.

  • Cut out the middle split and remove

Split at the playhead and remove any part, as many times as you need. Undo is always there.

  • Blur what's private any number of areas

Draw a box over an email address or a student's name, and choose when the blur starts and ends.

  • MP4 that plays anywhere or a GIF

Export a normal MP4 that seeks properly in common players, or a GIF up to 960 px wide.

  • A local Library search, rename

Every recording on this computer, with search, rename, download and delete. If Chrome closes mid-recording, the Library recovers it.

Free: features other recorders charge for

Many screen recorders keep these behind a monthly plan. TapeBooth runs them on your computer, so there is nothing to charge for.
